On the outside of the Viking trousers, from the ankle to the knee, it was put on leg wraps/ wool winingas/Putties. The leg wraps found are approx. 3 meters long and between 6- 10 cm wide. It is believed that the use provided increased heat and protection. They were secured either by tucking or fastened with a brooch.
Our new leg wraps are made from 100% recycled wool and very environmentally friendly. Recycled wool is quality controlled and thoroughly sorted. This saves energy and water needed to produce non-recycled wool. The process also eliminates the use of chemicals.
